Hire a Quilting Educator

Hey there!

My name is Kaye Collins and I teach quilting. I mainly teach longarm quilting as a National Educator for Handi Quilter, but I also teach some other classes that may be interesting to quilt guilds, shows or other quilting events.

I am first and foremost an educator. I have Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education and I taught mostly high school students for 20 years in public schools in Maine and Utah. I am comfortable in a classroom and can handle curveball questions and offbeat situations without breaking my stride. My students enjoy my engaging presentations and my concise but informative handouts.

I love creating quilts. I consider myself a CAD (Computer Assisted Design) Quilter because I use my laptop to design my quilts, plan the quilting, design the stitch patterns and I often use a computerized quilting program to quilt the designs on my quilts.

I live in Utah but teach all over the United States. We spend a LOT of time in Maine and I really love teaching on the East Coast. If I can piggyback your event with another event, it may save you money in travel costs. I also teach virtually.

Following is a list of the classes that I am currently teaching, but I have some more planned that will be available in the future. If you are interested in booking me to teach classes at an event, please contact me at Kaye@OhKayeQuilting.com and I will send you my list of current classes and a contract.
