I am fortunate to have a LOT of vintage hankies and doilies that belonged to my grandmother and my aunt. A couple of years ago I started learning how to origami fold them into dresses, but then I never did anything with them. And. . . they were kind of a pain in the bum to fold!
Although it took me a minute to figure out how to make things work, this is really an easy project. This can work with any doily or hankie. . . you may need to resize the tops.
